1964 Plymouth Valiant Coupe

1964 Plymouth Valiant Coupe

If you are interested in owning a 100% time capsule from more than 61 years ago, this Valiant is for you. It was found underneath blankets In Colorado, and this beauty has been off the road since the early 1980’s.

When the Blankets were removed, we discovered a rock-solid first economy car that had a near perfect interior. The odometer reads 20,000 miles, and even though the interior makes that seem believable, our guess is that it’s turned over.

We hooked it up to a battery, and everything worked—turn signals, all lights, wipers, and even the radio turned on.

Before we fired it up, we changed all the fluids, did a full tune-up, including rebuilt single barrel carburetor, and we replaced the entire fuel system with a new tank and lines. The tranny fluid looked like it was just changed, and the radiator was empty, so we added some anti-freeze and fired it off.

The bulletproof 225 Six blew a little smoke for a few seconds, but it calmed right down and ran as smooth as any engine you’ve ever heard.

All the gears shifted, and this little car ran great, but it definitely needed some brake work. We replaced the master cylinder. We also bled and adjusted the brakes, and we had ourselves a very fun and peppy driver.

The car has its original Owner’s Warranty and Manual books filled out with the original Oklahoma owner’s information.

We are going to do some clean-up on this incredible little machine and get it ready for someone to love it. With the exception of the vinyl top needing replaced and perhaps some paint touch-up, this Valiant has to be the best original specimen in the Country.

Priced at $9,500.
