This is a rare, vintage drag car! This 1968 Dodge Dart GTS is one of only 991 built with the big block 383 engine and 4-speed transmission. It is considered by many as the holy grail of A-bodies with the exception of the 50 Hemi Darts.
This Dart is wearing its original red paint. It also has all the correct body numbers and its original fender tag. Sheet metal and rare parts are included. It has a factory installed 3:23 sure grip with 4 ½ inch wheel studs. This Dart appears to have been originally installed with the center nose cone from the factory. Included is a re-pop nose cone that was made for a few years.
Nothing is more gorgeous than a PP1 Red Dart GTS with black bucket seats and console. Just like the factory magazine car, this car will need sheet metal repairs. This includes the following: front floors, (sheet metal included); rear wheel wells (replacements included); new X bracing between the trunk and back seat (same for all A-bodies); lower quarters (new quarters included); repair of rear frame rails; inner fender wells where cut for fenderwell headers; slight repair of original 4-speed hump; and repair of the original hood (or a replacement). We can perform professional sheet metal repairs for additional costs.
This Dart also comes with a set of 906 heads, bell housing and flywheel, shifter, rear seats, and front buckets (not the correct year).
Because this Dart is a numbered collector car, the investment required to make it a pure stock or restomod is protected. Priced as is at $12,500.
